About Me
My name is Alexandra Klein, though most people know me as Alex. I have had a lifelong passion for working with animals, rooted in both personal experience and professional dedication. Born and raised in Houston, I earned my Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2021.
I began my career in pet care in 2018 with Wag!, and soon after expanded my experience at a daycare and boarding facility in San Antonio, where I spent three years developing hands-on skills in animal husbandry, behavior, and training. In 2020, I transitioned into the veterinary field, working for nearly four years as a veterinary assistant and technician across multiple clinics in both San Antonio and Houston. This experience deepened my understanding of the individualized care that different species and breeds require to live healthy, thriving lives.
Most recently, I worked in pet retail as an assistant manager for a pet supply company, where I gained valuable insight into the importance of high-quality care products and their impact on overall pet wellness.
Each step in my journey has strengthened my commitment to providing exceptional care and improving the lives of animals in my community. I am equally passionate about educating pet owners, empowering them with the knowledge and resources to give their pets the happiest, healthiest lives possible.
